Grand Slammed Down Under: Are These Tennis Stars Asking for Too Much?

The Australian Open has been dealt with a curveball from its players, even before the start of the tournament. Over 70 tennis players have been subjected to strict quarantine protocols upon entering Australia and not everyone is happy about it.

Embattled No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic has demanded officials move players into private accommodations with a tennis court. No. 202 Bernard Tomic’s girlfriend drew the ire of social media after claiming that the worst part of quarantine was that she was unable to wash her hair without the help of hairdressers.

Australians have offered little sympathy or concessions, with Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews making it clear that “The virus doesn’t treat you specially, so neither should we.”
