Couple abandons baby at Ben Gurion Airport as they attempt to board flight to Brussels

On Jan 31, 2023, a couple and their baby arrived at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel, to board a Ryanair flight to Brussels.

The family arrived late to their flight check-in and without a ticket for the baby. Ryanair staff had advised the couple to purchase another ticket for the child.

The parents instead left their baby at the check-in counter and attempted to board their flight.

Airport Security was able to stop the couple from boarding and had to force them to retrieve their child. Police were notified of the incident.

The situation was resolved by the time the police arrived.
