Life Behind Bars for Nurse Who Murdered Innocent Infants
The words of Hippocrates, “wherever the art of medicine is loved, there is also a love of humanity,” have reverberated through the ages, exemplified by the dedication of healthcare professionals. In spite of that, former nurse, Lucy Letby’s actions have surpassed a mere compromise of this maxim, depicting an assault on the very core of human purity.
Once volunteering to extend her shift hours within the neonatal intensive therapy unit, a haven for premature and ailing newborns, the former nurse committed unimaginable crimes—when she chose to deliberately take the lives of innocent infants—while on duty. Today, Letby received a life sentence for the murder of seven babies and the attempted killing of six other infants.
As we mourn the lives lost too soon, read more here for insight into Letby’s heinous crimes.
