PayNow or PayNever? Women Decides to PayNever at Cafe in East Coast

A women had a field-day ordering 19 dishes at a cafe in East Coast and pretended to settle the bill with a doctored screenshot of the PayNow receipt.  The bill of the extravagant 19-item meal totaled to $272.25.  Footage of the women pretending to assess her banking application while actually doctoring a previous screenshot of a PayNow transaction to include the amount as well as the cafe’s name was released online. The fake PayNow bill was shown to the employee before the woman escaped. By the time the employees had caught onto the scam, they were not able to catch up with the woman.

Other business owners recognised the woman and her modus operandi and came forward to share that they had also been scammed by the same woman previously.

The cafe did however manage to get in touch with the woman and she settled her bill, claiming to be coping with some issues without further elaboration. The owners of the cafe had agreed to give her the opportunity to make amends and not report her.

Who said the cafe did not offer Buy Now, Pay Later services?
