Commemorating a Grim Milestone for the Pandemic

Singapore has regained some semblance of normalcy as its Covid-19 cases are wrestled under control. Coupled with the roll-out of the nationwide vaccination programme, many Singaporeans are lulled into a false sense of security.

Today marks the crossing of a milestone for the US as it surpasses 500,000 Covid-19 related deaths. This milestone serves as a sombre reminder that while the pandemic is under control in Singapore, it continues to rage on in other parts of the world. With new mutations of the virus emerging, no country is truly spared, and there is no room for complacency. Read more about the US is grappling with the pandemic here.
