Community Cats and their (pawsitive) impact in Singapore.

Sweet and innocent, and cared for by various people, community cats have risen beyond the ranks of ‘strays’; they have become shared pets in neighbourhoods.

The adoration for community cats was prominently brought to light through a TikTok video, where user Benjamin Wong proclaimed the amount of joy petting these cats brought him. Since then, a large number of Singaporean have joined him in sharing their own favourite community cats.

While sadly there are still cases of abuse towards community cats, there has been increasing efforts from organizations and residents to protect them.
