Meet Thailand’s most wanted social media influencer

Natthamon “Nutty” Kongchak first made a name for herself as a popular Youtuber with over 800,000 subscribers on Youtube but now finds herself a wanted criminal as she has allegedly fled abroad following a $2 billion baht Forex scam.

She had lured over 6000 victims to deposit money in her account, with promises to invest their cash with high monthly returns. However, since April, customers began complaining they had not received the payments as guaranteed. While Ms Natthamon had admitted she had “made a mistake in trading and lost all the money”, she promised to repay all her investors. Fast forward to August, a popular Facebook page broke news that the influencer had fled Thailand. Now, investors are dumbfounded as their pockets are left empty by the misplaced trust they had in their favourite social media star.
