No Partner, No House, No Problem.

Singles aged 35 and above are now able to apply for two-room Housing and Development Board (HDB) flats in any location, as announced by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the National Day Rally (20 Aug).

This is in line with HDB’s move to change housing classification from mature and non-mature estate to Standard, Plus, or Prime, in which singles are currently only limited to applying in non-mature estates.

Mr Lee noted that more Singaporeans are opting to stay single and own a home.
