Nursing Betrayal: Former Healthcare Worker Swipes Patients’ Bank Cards for $12,000 Scam!

A 23-year-old former nurse from Woodlands Health, deployed at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, has been arrested for allegedly using patients’ bank card details for unauthorized transactions exceeding S$12,000. The arrest follows a police report in September 2022, where a victim discovered the fraudulent transactions. Investigations revealed the suspect, misusing his position of trust, accessed victims’ phones for banking credentials. The nurse is also allegedly involved in similar cases, and charges include cheating, unauthorized access, and computer misuse. If found guilty, he faces imprisonment and fines under various laws. Woodlands Health is aware of the case and refrains from commenting further as it’s now before the court.
