TraceTogether: Is Big Brother Tracing You?

A Scanning Nation – that’s how some have described our beloved nation every since it was struck by the COVID-29 pandemic. In order to effectively perform contract tracing of suspected COVID-19 infections, the Singapore Government rolled out a contact tracing app “TraceTogether” alongside a TraceTogether token.

Despite the supposed good intentions behind the innovation, many have expressed discomfort and speculation as to whether the personal information collected is genuinely and only for the purposes of contact tracing.
